The Edel Vision

Edel's vision is to empower humanity through access to the global financial system without borders. We want more people to participate in global markets and use financial tools that have traditionally been available mainly to institutions.

This is the direction we are building towards. Access to each product remains subject to eligibility, applicable law, sanctions and jurisdictional restrictions.

Bringing a real-world asset on-chain changes its format. Its greater potential emerges when that asset can move between applications and become useful across a connected decentralised finance (DeFi) ecosystem.

Our ambition is for tokenised real-world assets (RWAs) to do more than sit in a wallet: to be traded, transferred and, where supported, used as collateral for other financial activity. That requires issuance, markets and applications that work together.

Edel is building towards that connected system on the Canton Network.

Edel Equities: bring global equity exposure on-chain.

Edel Equities describes our broader issuance vision, with a focus on global equities and small-cap stocks. The aim is to widen both access to equity markets and access to the ways institutions can use those assets. Edel Stocks are the instruments available today within that vision: Titan Labs Limited debt instruments providing economic exposure to stocks and ETFs on Canton.

Edel Markets: give those assets a place to work.

Edel Markets is a planned trading venue for spot and derivatives markets across cryptoassets, equities and commodities, with settlement on Canton. It is being designed around speed, financial privacy and the ambition of 24/7/365 trading. Edel Markets is coming soon.

Issuance and trading become more powerful when they connect. Together, Edel Equities and Edel Markets could form an on-chain prime brokerage: an environment that brings asset access, trading and collateral use into one connected experience.

In institutional finance, prime brokerage connects services such as execution and financing, allowing eligible assets to support other positions. Edel's ambition is to bring that kind of capital utility on-chain and make it accessible to a wider set of participants.

For example, an eligible holder could use tokenised stock exposure as margin to trade other equities, while retaining the economic exposure of the collateral subject to the product's terms and risk controls. This would make an existing position useful beyond holding or selling it.

Stock collateral, margin trading and an integrated prime brokerage experience are future product ambitions. Supported collateral, borrowing or margin terms, risk controls and eligibility will need to be defined before these capabilities are available.

Access to on-chain finance should not require broadcasting every financial decision to the public. On fully public ledgers, visible balances and transaction histories can expose positions, reveal trading strategies and make sensitive commercial relationships easier to infer.

Edel Markets is being designed around financial privacy on Canton. Canton supports selective disclosure of transaction data: visibility is governed by application rules and participant roles, so relevant authorised participants can see the information they need.

Privacy does not mean activity is invisible to every party. Counterparties and other authorised participants may have visibility, and regulatory or audit access can be configured where required. The goal is useful financial confidentiality alongside appropriate accountability.
