Governance direction
Planned ecosystem participation and the scope of tokenholder rights.
The role of governance
We plan for governance to help coordinate liquidity incentives, collateral support, risk parameters and ecosystem resources. Potential mechanisms include proposals, voting and treasury participation.
Governance is planned and a voting system has not launched. These plans do not grant legally enforceable governance rights to tokenholders.
Proposed areas of coordination
Potential areas of governance include:
| Area | Question it could address |
|---|---|
| Market incentives | Which markets receive liquidity and incentive support? |
| Collateral support | Which tokenised assets are considered for collateral use? |
| Risk parameters | Which parameters govern collateral, borrowing or market behaviour? |
| Vault distribution | Which strategy categories and curator vaults receive ecosystem support? |
| Ecosystem programs | Which products, integrations and participation programs receive resources? |
Operational participation and legal rights
Under the MiCAR white paper, EDEL does not grant legally enforceable or contractual rights to holders. Technical participation mechanisms do not themselves create equity, profit participation or a claim against the issuer.
Any formal rights, voting systems, revenue mechanics and participation rules require official governance documentation at launch. See the EDEL disclosure for the holder-rights statement.
How governance will be defined
Governance documentation will set out proposal rules, voting weight, quorum, delegation and execution authority, including any timelock and deployment identifiers. Treasury and incentive programs will also have defined limits and participation terms.
These specifications, including any revenue allocation, remain to be defined before launch.
