Roles and responsibilities
The reference market, backing exposure, issuer and trading venue each have a distinct role.
| Actor or system | Responsibility |
|---|---|
| Reference market | Provides the market context for the tracked asset. |
| Edel Stocks issuance | Issues the contractual debt instrument and controls primary issuance and redemption. |
| Backing exposure | Underlying security or equivalent tokenised economic exposure maintained by the issuer. |
| Canton Network | Native instrument holdings and supported transfers. |
| Approved participants | Access restricted minting and cash redemption; approved market makers support liquidity. |
| Secondary venues and applications | Allow supported trading, holding and transfer of existing instruments. |
Integration requirements
Confirm the instrument identifier, token standard, participant roles, disclosure configuration and supported issuance or redemption workflow with our technical team. We provide these integration requirements directly; they are not yet published as a complete public specification.
Use the Edel Stock’s own identifier. Assets used for its economic backing have separate identities.
Connecting Stocks to Markets
The planned Margin Layer would translate eligible stock holdings into collateral capacity for Markets. This connection needs its own valuation, risk and permission rules and is not yet available. Explore the Margin Layer.
